Rugby Town Young Leaders Events Program
Below detais of the workshops from the start of the young leaders scheme at Rugby Town to the present day work shops all opportunities for young leaders of the club to take part in.

Saturday 26th November 2011
Young Leaders Day at Henry Hinde, 9:45am to 11:45am
Last club YL training day for 2011 will be held on 26/11/11 at Henry Hinde School. YL will be split into groups and be assigned a team to work with using topics, 1) Lack of movement to support a player in possession of the ball, 2) Lack of team shape, 3) Effective defending as a team, 4) Poor/lack of communication.

Football Futures workshop, 6.30pm – 9pm.
The first Football Futures workshop will be place on the 24th of November at Birmingham County FA, County offices, Ray Hall Lane, Birmingham, B43 6JF from 6.30pm – 9pm. Run by Ted Grizzell and Jim McGettrick who are members of the FA Tesco Skills Team in Birmingham.

The FA Tesco Skills Day
We have an opportunity for you to work with The FA Tesco Skills on the half term week at Rugby Town, Kilsby Lane. Note: this has only been offered to the Clubs 10 x Tier 1 active team coach young leaders, we only have 3 spaces for this event to assist but more can attend to watch, invitation and excepted by DR or JM attendees only.
Sunday Evenings 9th, October 2011
Referee's Course, 7pm to 9pm at Kilsby Lane
Run by the Rugby Referee associattion, this is a 10 week course and must be 14 or above to attend, contact us for more information.

Young Leaders Day at Henry Hinde, 9:45am to 11:45am
The next Rugby Town Young Leaders day on Saturday 8th October 2011 at Henry Hinde. Full coaching staff from the club will be there and Claire from the BCFA, you will be coaching players from 5 to 14 years old on the day in groups.

The FA Football Futures Leadership and Volunteering Camp 2011
This will involve a whole variety of opportunities to develop leadership skills, team building and football in general. You must be aged 16 to 19 at the time of camp

The FA Age Appropriate Coaching Introductory Module - Female Only

Birmingham FA County young Leaders Camp
The event has previously been highly successful and we look forward to once again offering young leaders aged from 14 to 22
the opportunity to develop their skills and experience through a day of workshops and seminars.

Rugby Spring Fair Stall run by Young Leaders as part of the events set up for young volunteers diary
Come up with your own ideas as a group and deliver, e.g. beat the keeper, how many ball sweets in the jar etc (you set up and run)

JFO workshop, 4 hour age appropriate coaching workshop
It will not be the full award but will give a good over sight of skills coaching once they get to 16

FUTSAL session at Kilsby lane with National Futsal coach
This is an excellent game for developing players touch, awareness and technique. The game conditions dictate a fast and technical style of football to be played and the ball is unique in its response.
