Miller Kit Out Winning Rugby Town Juniors FC Under 14s

19/10/07 - Latest News

Rugby Town Football Club’s under 14s have been on a winning streak ever since Housebuilder of the Year, Miller Homes sponsored the club.

The junior side have three wins out of three this season and love playing in their new strip, provided by Miller Homes. The developer are currently building a new residential scheme on St. Peter’s Road just a few minutes drive from the team’s ground and were delighted to help the local youngsters with sponsorship after a representative for the club, David Burton, approached the national head office.

Miller has provided £1,000 to the club which has paid for the squad’s full strip and training tops.

David Burton said: “We’re so grateful to Miller for their generosity. I spotted that the company were building in Rugby when I drove past the sales centre and thought I’d make an enquiry. I was told to write to head office and I received a reply shortly after. The kits look fantastic and the lads love them. We can’t thank Miller enough for their support.”

Miller Homes’ sales negotiator, Tanya Bishop, who works at St. Peter’s, said: It was lovely to see the lads in their new Miller strip. We always try to build links with the local communities when we build in a new location and this was a great way to do it. On behalf of the whole Miller team I’d like to wish good luck to the club for a successful season.

Rugby Town under 14s, who play in the John Bryan Coventry Minor League, were also boosted with new training and playing facilities after being awarded a lottery grant of £951,000 from the football foundation.

The Football Foundation is the UK's largest sports charity funded by the Premier League, The FA, Sport England and the Government. Its mission is to improve facilities, create opportunities and build communities throughout England.

Miller Homes’ St Peters development features a mix of three, four and five bedroom family homes alongside one and two bedroom apartments, catering for a wide range of customers.

A new showhome is now available to view. For more information, drop into the onsite sales office. Alternatively, call 01788 568019 or visit the link below.
