Welcome to the Last Rugby Town Community Club News of 2010.

Over the past year Rugby Town has moved forward in many areas, many hours and days of hard work behind the scenes has seen some remarkable progress on how Rugby Town works with the community. You don't have to be a Rugby Town member to enjoy so many of the benefits that the club can offer to the community.

Below a round up of just some of the projects that have taken place over the past 12 months of 2010 and some that come online in 2011.

The committees of Rugby Town Juniors, Girls & Ladies would like to wish every one a great Christmas and New Year. We look forward to getting back to playing some football in the new year, hopefully the weather will let us!!

Level 1 Coaches Course at Kilsby Lane
In 2011 a level 1 coaches course will start on the 25th January at Kilsby Lane, there are still spaces left if you would like to become a qualified coach, for full details click here.

Cafe Bar
2011 will see the clubs new cafe bar open its doors, a competition will be launched soon to find a name for the cafe, giving parents a place to go while members are playing on the astro.

Club Online Shop
Early 2011 will see the clubs online shop open for business as the club looks to make it easier for members to purchase club merchandise online.

Referees
In 2010 the club held a referees course at Kilsby Lane, a great turn out and 22 new referees for the Borough of Rugby. Well done to all that attended the course and passed. For more referees information click here.

5G Astro Turf Kilsby Lane
2010 seen the long awaited building of the Kilsby Lane 5th Generation Astro Turf after many hours of fund raising, already being used by teams in the club the 2nd astro will be available to book in the new year. Contact Jason Morris for more information, email jason@rugbytowngirlsfc.co.uk.

BCFA Football Futures Program
New scheme set up at the end of 2010 for young volunteers in the club, some great events that can be attended including trips abroad, we look forward to the 21st February 2011 for the Young Leaders day, to find out more information about joining the program for 14 to 18 year olds click here

Launch of the Tangos
In 2010 the youth group of the club was renamed to the Tangos, great new t-shirts given to all new members, more information about the group click here.

Henley and Rugby college
During the year Rugby Town's David Roche has been working with Henley and Rugby College, where links have been started for the benefit of both students and members. The club now has several students working with teams to extend there work experience and members get the benefit of some different coaching ideas.

Recruitment
2011 Rugby Town are on the look out for more volunteers, as a club we have one of the best facilities in the UK and with 36 teams really need to recruit more help to keep the club moving forward. Please get in touch or keep a look out for the information on the web site in the new year.

Skills Coaching by Level 3 Coach
Young members are encouraged to attend the skills coaching every Friday at Butlin Road, not to be mistaken to team coaching this session looks at individual skills for beginners, click here for more information.

Goalkeeper Coaching by Level 3 Coach
Keeper coaching session by experienced UEFA coaches in this specialist position, held at Kilsby Lane RTJFC 5G Astro turf facility, click here for more information.

Launch of the New Rugby Town Community Web site
This season has seen the launch of the new set up of web sites that gives Rugby Town Community Club greater coverage in the community, the sites consist of the juniors, girls and ladies sites all working together to enhance what the community club can do for every one in the borough of Rugby and surrounding areas.

Club Logo and Identity
Another break through at the start of the season after 8 months of talks and designs between clubs to bring the Rugby Town clubs closer together to work in the community, logo, jackets and playing kit for the juniors, girls and ladies clubs. Great to see all clubs working together for the good of the Town of Rugby.

Full refreshment bars open during the season, pop down any time to watch some great football from Rugby Town, a home ground to be proud of for all members!

A reminder, Kilsby Lane operate a No Dogs Allowed On Site policy. Bins are provided for all rubbish, thank you in helping the club enforce this during the season and keep your place safe and clean, see a problem? report it!

Parking at Kilsby Lane
Due to various issues around the Car Parking at the site it is important that cars fill up from the bottom upwards. Managers Coaches and Parents should ask anybody that they see parking at the top of the site to move down. As games will be AM / PM this year there wont be as much traffic as it will be balanced out.

Rugby Town runs the FA respect program, the club have County FA and club welfare officers at games during the season to ensure home and away supporters respect the members and officials in games and the facilities.
