Football Futures Programme at RugbyTown JFC

You may or may not be aware of a programme we run at Rugby Town called Football Futures. This is an FA national initiative to involve young people in the running and developing of the game.

Who is the programme for?
The programme is available to any young person aged 14-25 who is volunteering within football. Your volunteer role can be at a school, college or university, attached to a charter standard club or league. Leaders can choose from a range of activities, from assisting with the coaching or running of a team, acting as the press officer for a junior league, developing a film to promote a new activity for young people to play, refereeing or being a Respect Ambassador

What are the benefits?
• Employability – CV
• Networking with County FA / FA staff
• Support through qualifications
• Recognition via FA certificates and awards
• Individual Development

Through Football Futures, a young person will gain valuable experience and develop skills that can be applied to all aspects of life. Young Leaders within the programme will be offered support to gain football related qualifications and skills.

We are running an evening presentation at Kilsby Lane on Wednesday 24th February 2016 starting at 7pm. Present will be Michael Thurlow who heads up the Birmingham County Football Futures programme along with two members of the Birmingham County FA Youth Council.

If you are interested in attending this evening, then please email info@rugbytownfc.co.uk with your name DOB and team. If you can’t attend the evening but would still like to get involved, please email us your details and we will contact you directly.
